i knew i should have explained my reasoning for the scheme i went with in the picture post itself
i think you look adorable and im not trying to be mean, but as soon as i saw you i thought you were going for aradia, not cronus. since color is a very important aspect in homestuck, i would suggest either a classic black or purple. if purple looks silly, you could even try making the upper lip black and the lower lip purple! with genderbends especially its harder to sell "this is who im trying to be", you have to work harder to look like the character (if you want to anyway)

Cronus wants to be human. A lot of people forget this. I don’t think he, or in this case she, would go for colors representing their blood color. I even used a red blush! My inspiration was makeup popular in the 50s, where red lipstick was the big thing. Almost a pin-up look.
Note that this is just a test, and I have yet to put on the fins or forehead scars.

Part of the reason I harbor so many awful feelings about Anime Matsuri is because I’m really ashamed of how my costumes turned out.
Unfortunately, I hold myself up to a certain standard because I’m so afraid of what people might say. I try to do my best to avoid nasty opinions and people mocking me. Tyrian Karkat and Aranea didn’t reach these standards.
My attempt with PAX went completely wrong. Like, the complete opposite of what it should have. I didn’t have time to properly do my makeup before the photoshoot on Saturday, so it was looked subpar after some wear. I shouldn’t have worn it outside the hotel room but I didn’t want to let anyone down. I changed almost right after I got back to the hotel after lunch. Aranea went through the ringer of me crying and being in a hot parking garage before the panel. Both were awful. I hated them.
I need to stop this.
